Volunteer Of The Month: Kenny Kington

This month, we’re incredibly proud to shine the spotlight on someone who truly embodies the heart of our Foundation, Kenny Kington.

Kenny has been outstanding in his support of our Women team matchdays over the last 2 seasons. Whether it’s media support, filming interviews, running commentary, managing ticketing, or capturing key goal highlights, he consistently brings reliability, enthusiasm, and a real team-first attitude. His willingness to step in wherever needed and deliver with such positivity makes a huge difference to both our matchday operations and the overall experience we provide.

When asked what motivates him to give his time, Kenny says:

“Making a difference locally is what motivated me to give my time to the Foundation. I know that everyone associated with the Foundation works very hard to make an impact, and by helping out with the women’s team, I feel like I’m contributing to that. Especially when it comes to gaining exposure and more attention for the women’s first team.”

Kenny’s impact can be felt across every matchday he’s involved in. His commitment behind the scenes plays a key role in showcasing the women’s team and helping to grow the game, all while creating a professional and engaging environment for players and supporters alike.

One of Kenny’s most meaningful moments comes from his time volunteering on matchdays:

“I would say the most meaningful moment is seeing our mascots’ faces light up with joy when walking out with the players. The effect it has on the players as well is something that is really motivating and makes me want to continue working in women’s football.”

That’s what our Foundation is all about, creating opportunities, building confidence, and ensuring everyone feels included and supported.

And if Kenny had to sum up his volunteering experience in one sentence?

“Volunteering has been great. I’ve met so many new people and had so many amazing opportunities to help out, and I’m really thankful to the Foundation for giving me those chances.”

Kenny, thank you for everything you do; for your time, your energy, and your passion. The difference you make across our Women’s programme is truly valued, and we’re incredibly grateful to have you on the team.
