Match Report: Solihull Moors vs Lye Town

Lye Town Claimed All Three Points As Solihull Moors Women Were Be  4–0 At Home.

Solihull Moors Women started the game strongly and came close to taking an early lead, hitting the post from a shot following a corner. However, Moors were unable to convert the rebound and put the ball into the back of the net.

It was Lye Town who struck first, capitalising from a corner that was whipped into a dangerous area in the middle of the box. The ball was eventually forced over the line by Brit Lote.

Moors continued to battle and looked to respond, trying to build momentum through the midfield and out wide, but Lye remained organised at the back and limited clear-cut opportunities.

The visitors doubled their lead five minutes before the half-hour mark when Natasha Baptiste powered home a header from another corner delivery that Moors were unable to fully clear.

Moors came out with renewed determination in the second half, looking to apply pressure and reduce the deficit. However, Lye remained dangerous on the counter and continued to threaten whenever space opened up in the attacking third.

Just after the hour mark, Baptiste grabbed her second of the afternoon. She received the ball on the edge of the box, controlled it with her chest, and fired a powerful strike into the bottom corner.

As the game moved into added time, Lye sealed the victory with their fourth goal following a quick counter-attack. Macy Fox finished first time from inside the box, and although Zoe Millington managed to get a hand to the effort, she was unable to push it over the crossbar.

FT – Solihull Moors 0–4 Lye Town
