Match Report: Solihull Moors vs Hednesford Town
Solihull Moors left defeated 2-0 after hosting Hednesford Town at Studley Sports Centre.
Despite the rainy conditions, both sides began brightly. Hednesford carved out the first clear opportunity when their striker was played through one-on-one. Zoe Millington reacted superbly to produce a huge save and keep the scores level.
Moors continued to control possession and responded with a chance of their own. Georgia Neath delivered a dangerous ball into the box for Beth Gallagher, who flicked her effort goalwards, only to be denied by an alert Hednesford keeper.

As the second half opened up, Moors started strongly and maintained their hold on the ball. Gallagher picked up possession on the left and unleashed a shot that narrowly missed the target.
It wasn’t long before Moors threatened again from a free kick, with Annie Highway going directly for goal and forcing the visiting keeper to punch clear, but the hosts were unable to capitalise on the loose ball.
Despite Moors’ dominance in possession, it was Hednesford who broke the deadlock from a corner, as their attacker rose highest at the back post to head home.
Moments later, the visitors sealed the victory as a dangerous cross into the box forced Millington into another excellent save, but she was unable to prevent the rebound from being turned in, confirming a 2–0 win for the away side.
