Match Report: Solihull Moors vs Coundon Court
Solihull Moors Women continue their unbeaten start to the season as they pick up another 3 points at home on Sunday.
Both teams started brightly, eager to make an impression on the game but it was Moors who created the first opportunity early on, as Georgia Neath whipped a ball across the face of the goal with pace, just out of reach for Chloe Cumberbatch to tap it home.
Moments later, Cumberbatch beat her marker and fired a shot on goal, but the keeper was equal to it with a comfortable save.
Around the half an hour mark, Gina Burton played a superb ball through to Tiarna Grizzle who calmly slotted it past the Coundon keeper, breaking the deadlock.
Coundon were close to bringing it level, after a ball played through, found Sarah Ghamen but her effort was denied by Daina Scott.

As the second half opened up, Moors continued to press in the search for another. Neath came close to adding a second when she was played through by Humera Ashfaq but the keeper was quick off her mark to close her down and prevent her from extending the lead.
Coundon created a chance when a long ball over the top found Ghanem, but Zoe Millington showed great bravery to rush out and claim it.
Just minutes later, fantastic build-up play between Neath, Pioli and Ashfaq lead to Moors doubling the lead. Neath battled to win the ball in the box for Pioli to pick up and tip to Ashfaq who slotted it into the bottom corner.
As the game started to draw to a close, Amelia Lightfoot forced a fine save from their keeper, causing a flying ball to rebound to the feet of Ashfaq who made no mistake in firing home.
Coundon nearly pulled one back late on when their attacker ran round Millington, but Connie Allen recovered brilliantly to deny the goal leaving the score 3-0 at full-time.
FT: Solihull Moors 3-0 Coundon Court
