Match Report: Leek Town vs Solihull Moors
Solihull Moors Women earned another three points to make it five consecutive wins.
Just minutes after the first whistle, Moors almost took an early lead when Lexi Blaxland delivered a ball into the box that found Humera Ashfaq on the edge of the area, her shot narrowly missing out as it almost beat the Leek goalkeeper.
Around the twenty-minute mark, Daina Scott played a wonderful through ball to Ashfaq, who calmly poked it past the onrushing keeper to give Moors the lead.
Moors then came agonisingly close to doubling their advantage as Georgia Neath struck the underside of the crossbar, but the ball refused to cross the line, denying them a second.

It didn’t take long for Moors to add another after the restart. A ball over the top from Gina Burton once again found Ashfaq, who headed home to extend the lead.
Leek worked tirelessly to try and pull one back, but Zoe Millington was on hand to deny the hosts any opportunity.
As the game drew to a close, brilliant work from Neath set up Ashfaq for a simple tap-in into the centre of the goal, sealing her hat-trick and ensuring the score remained 3-0 at the full-time whistle.
