Match Report: Coundon Court vs Solihull Moors
A late goal from Coundon striker Marianne Taho meant that the home side took all three points in a close match.
Both teams started positively looking for the opener, however, it was Coundon who created the first chance of the game as they worked themselves into a good position to shoot and curl one at goal but Zoe Millington pulled off a superb save to deny the hosts from taking an early lead.
Around the twenty-eight minute mark, Moors broke the deadlock as Eva Buckley whipped in a ball that found Steph Weston who found the net.
Ten minutes later, Moors doubled their lead as Annie Highway sent a ball into the box from a free kick which found the back of the net via a Coundon defender’s head.
Coundon managed to get a goal back before half-time as a ball rolled across the face of goal and was sent across the line by Eva Burgess.
