Match Preview: Solihull Moors Women vs Halesowen Town (League Cup)

Solihull Moors Women welcome Halesowen Town to Studley Sports Centre on Sunday. (2pm KO)

Following last week’s tough defeat to Shifnal, Moors are looking to progress in the League Cup.

Manager, Joe Kirkland, had this to say ahead of the fixture:

“A huge reaction is needed following the performance against Shifnal, I’m expecting us to come out flying in the sense of being aggressive, wanting to score first, and having the desire to win, and win well. We were hugely disappointed last week, it’s important to use that game to give us a kick forwards. We must do better, and I have no doubt that we will”

The Opposition

Halesowen Town compete in the WMRWFL Division One South, and having picked up two points, they are currently tenth in the table.

Betheny Taylor and Kirsty Spencer are both ones to watch, having finished joint top goalscorer for the team last season, making them key members of the team.
