Match Preview: Solihull Moors Women vs Burton Albion (H)

Solihull Moors Women are back at Studley Sports Centre this Sunday as they welcome Burton Albion. (3pm KO)

Following last week’s defeat to Lye Town, Moors are currently sixth in the table and are looking to earn themselves three points this weekend.

Manager, Joe Kirkland had this to say ahead of the fixture:

“We are going into the game expecting a quality performance from ourselves in every area of the pitch, we have a lot of injuries which is unfortunate at this time of the season. However, we still have enough quality to win the game, and doing so  will allow us to return back to winning form.”

The Opposition

Burton Albion have found it tough going so far this season having lost five of their eight games. The Brewers are currently tenth in the table, however, a win on Sunday could see them move up to as far as seventh.

Millie Drinkhall is the one to watch having netted fives goals in six games, making her a key member of the team.
