Match Preview: Shinfal Town vs Solihull Moors (FA Cup)
Solihull Moors Women turn their attention to the FA Cup as they travel to Shifnal this Sunday. (2pm KO)
Moors are heading into this fixture with confidence following last week’s thrilling 3-3 draw to Burton Albion, where they fought back from 3–0 down to gain another point in the league campaign.
The team now turn their focus to the FA Cup as they prepare to take on Shifnal Town in the Second Round Qualifying. With both sides looking to progress, a place in the Third Qualifying Round, and a step closer to the First Round Proper, is on the line.
The Opposition
Shifnal have started their season brightly, winning both of their opening WMWRFL fixtures and scoring five goals in the process, which sees them sitting third in the table.
Rebecca-Lee Bown is the one to watch, having scored 18 goals in 19 appearances during the 24/25 season, helping Shifnal secure third place. She has carried that form into the new campaign, already finding the net in her only appearance so far.
