Match Preview: Leamington Ladies vs Solihull Moors
Solihull Moors Women turn their attention to the League Cup this weekend as they face Leamington Ladies.
Following recent postponements, Moors will be looking to build momentum and deliver a strong performance to progress into the next round if the League Cup.
Joe Kirkland had this to say ahead of the fixture:
“We want to win the league cup, so we’ll be taking the game seriously and doing all we can to win. We expect ourselves to be dominant on and off the ball, ensuring that we have control over the 90 minutes. On occasions, I have felt our standards have dropped ever so slightly when playing teams in the league below, or lower teams in our league. We need to concentrate on ourselves and ensure that we have an outstanding performance.”
The Opposition
Leamington Ladies compete in the WMRWFL Division One South and are currently top of the table. Having won seven of their twelve games and netting 34 goals so far this season, Leamington are on impressive form as they continue to set the pace in the division.
