Match Preview: Alvechurch vs Solihull Moors (League Cup)
Solihull Moors Women are set to face Alvechurch in the League Cup Quarter-Final tomorrow (3pm KO)
Despite last week’s defeat to Lye Town, Moors are heading into the cup clash with confidence.
Manager, Joe Kirkland had this to say ahead of the fixture:
“Our game against Alvechurch is one we won’t be taking lightly. They’ve taken points off some of the top teams in the league and have put in strong performances against very good sides this season. However, it’s also important that we focus on ourselves. We’re looking for a reaction after last week’s game against Lye Town and ultimately want to progress into the semi-final of the League Cup, which we see as a really important part of our season.”
The Opposition
Alvechurch haven’t found things easy in the league so far this season, but they remain a hardworking and competitive side capable of causing problems on their day. With a squad that continues to show determination and resilience, they will be looking to build momentum and put in another strong performance this weekend
