James McNally’s Journey
We’re incredibly proud to highlight the progress and enthusiasm of James McNally, one of the shining stars of our ‘Steps to the Real Me’ program and a valued member of our Down Syndrome football team.
James recently completed our 8-week Steps to the Real Me course, working closely with Coach Crackle (Hayley). From the very first session, it was clear that a strong bond was forming between James and his coach. Hayley quickly developed an understanding of James’s needs, tailoring the sessions to bring out his best — and it showed. James was excited to attend every single week, showing growing confidence, improved focus, and a real passion for movement.
His parent shared their thoughts on his journey: “James thoroughly enjoyed the 8-week course with Coach Crackle. I knew she’d get the best out of him as soon as we met her. James was keen to attend every session with Hayley. She quickly understood him and managed the sessions accordingly. I’m really glad we came across Coach Crackle and would recommend her to anyone looking to do some SEN PT sessions. We’re now confident about taking James onto the gym floor.”
James’s energy and determination have also made him a key player in our Down Syndrome football sessions, where his love for sport and team spirit truly shine. His journey is a fantastic example of how tailored support, encouragement, and the right environment can help young people with additional needs unlock their full potential.
We’re excited to see what James achieves next, Both in the gym and on the pitch!
