HAF Holiday Camps – Summer 2026 Round Up
This summer, we delivered 16 days of HAF Holiday Camp programmes across three locations: Solihull Moors FC, St Cuthberts Primary School and Coppice Academy.
Across the summer, we welcomed an incredible 804 children aged 4–15 through our doors, providing them with opportunities to stay active, make new friends and enjoy positive experiences throughout the school holidays.
Our programme included a mixture of football, multi-sports and enrichment activities, alongside sessions focused on healthy eating and healthy lifestyles, delivered through Solihull Council’s HAF Programme and Birmingham Council’s Bring it on Brum Summer Programme.
One of the highlights of the summer was welcoming 19 Solihull Moors First Team players across our programmes. Players interacted with the children by taking part in sporting activities, delivering talks and Q&A sessions, and sharing stories from their own careers. These visits gave the children the opportunity to engage with professional footballers, ask questions and create memories that will stay with them long after the summer.
The experience also extended beyond the Holiday Camps themselves. Children and their families were given the opportunity to attend two Solihull Moors First Team matches, helping to strengthen their connection with the football club and the wider community. Some children were also given special matchday roles as ball retrievers, flag bearers and mascots, providing them with unique experiences and memories they can take away from the programme.
Our HAF programmes are about much more than simply providing activities during the school holidays. They are designed to give children a positive social outlet through sport, encourage them to stay active and healthy, build confidence and friendships, and provide inclusive opportunities for children from across the community.
Most importantly, we want every child who attends our programmes to leave with lasting memories, new experiences and a feeling of belonging.
This summer has once again demonstrated the impact that sport can have in bringing children together, connecting families with their local football club and creating meaningful opportunities throughout the school holidays.
