Foundation Volunteer Of The Month: Libby Bohemia
This month, we’re incredibly proud to shine the spotlight on someone who truly embodies the heart of our Foundation, Libby Bohemia.
Libby has been amazing across the Foundation, supporting our Ability Counts programme, bringing incredible energy to our holiday camps, and always stepping up on matchdays whenever needed. Her effort, positivity and willingness to get stuck in never goes unnoticed, and she’s made a real difference to so many people involved.
When asked what motivates her to give her time, Libby says:
“After joining the club at a young age and thoroughly enjoying my time, volunteering gives me the opportunity to pay it forward. It’s important to me to give my time so that others can experience similar opportunities to those I’ve had and feel supported in the same way as I was. I’m also motivated to give my time to the Foundation as I strongly believe in its values, and being able to contribute to them, no matter how small or big, it’s meaningful to me.”
Libby’s impact can be felt across everything she’s involved in. Whether she’s supporting sessions, engaging with participants, or helping deliver memorable experiences during camps and matchdays, she brings a positive attitude and genuine care that shines through in all she does.
One of Libby’s most meaningful moments comes from her time with Ability Counts:
“One of the most meaningful moments for me is being part of the Ability Counts programme. Seeing players grow in confidence and ability, and the pure happiness and joy it brings to everyone, is really rewarding and is what makes volunteering so important to me.”
That’s what our Foundation is all about, creating opportunities, building confidence, and ensuring everyone feels included and supported.
And if Libby had to sum up her volunteering experience in one sentence?
“It’s been a truly rewarding and eye-opening experience, highlighting the importance of creating an inclusive and supportive environment for everyone.”
Libby, thank you for everything you do; for your time, your energy, and your passion. The difference you make across the Foundation is truly valued, and we’re incredibly grateful to have you on the team.
